The 1898 Inn has two lovely guest rooms, each an oasis of comfort and peace.
~No televisions or telephones to intrude on your time together.
Palladian Room
$129 per night plus tax
This serene guest room features a palladian window with views of the lovely front gardens. An incredibly comfortable four-post queen bed is dressed in egyptian cotton sheets and elegant damask linen. The room's original art and classic antique mahogany furnishings are simply elegant. Reading lamps, an overhead fan, air conditioning, WIFI and carpeting create a romantic and quiet retreat.
The en suite private bath features the sophisticated soft cream and green color palette of the bedroom. It is furnished with a pedestal sink and tub/shower. Soft towels, hair dryers and natural toiletries provided.
Blue Room
$129 per night plus tax
This light and airy guest room features a soothing blue and cream color palate and a ultra comfortable high-rise, four-poster queen bed. The silk curtains and french chairs combined with an antique dresser, old etchings, and vintage fir wood floors create a refined but casual respite. Comfort assured with bedside lamps, overhead fan, air conditioning, and WIFI.
The large en suite private bath features an east-facing window overlooking our gorgeous limestone herb garden. A pedestal sink, tub/shower furnish this bath. Soft towels, hair dryers and natural toiletries provided.
Naturalist Soap
The 1898 Inn uses bath products which are made exclusively for our guests and promise to be gentle to our bodies and the environment. Produced by Essence of Lanesboro from the finest quality botanical essential oils each body care product is without compromise. The custom scent blends in our soaps reflect our favorite herbs and flowers growing in the 1898 Inn's gardens. Unscented soap is available by request.
Housekeeping & Turn Down Services
To insure the comfort of our guests and meet their privacy needs we offer several optional in-room services. When you visit please let us know your preference.
* Daily light house-keeping service with or without nightly
turn-down service.
* Ultimate privacy - we do not enter your room unless requested.
Sitting Rooms
The 1898 Inn has two cozy sitting rooms on the first floor where our guests relax throughout the day and evening. A gas fireplace and large windows create a bright and comfortable place to read, work on craft projects or enjoy a glass of wine with your companion/s.
Many of our guests reserve both guest rooms and bring along their friends. They love having the inn as their own private home for the duration of their stay.
Gardens
The gentle beauty of our garden inspires creativity as it is truly one-of-a-kind. Lush with herbs, flowing plants and natural limestone, the garden is a sumptuous and soothing haven and a peaceful place to unwind. You may view images of our garden in the photo gallery.
